As we continue our journey toward Christmas day, we at Real Hope trust this season is finding you full of the Christmas spirit. It’s at this time of the season, when instead of slowing down and giving thanks for the gift that was given in Christ, we often see people moving at break-neck speeds. Everyone is rushing around trying to do everything, and get everything to make it a great season. This often leads to feelings of frustration and discouragement as people miss the meaning of this celebration. The meaning of Christmas is that God sent his only son to save us, to restore us to a right relationship with Him and our neighbours, and to give us ‘abundant life’.
So this season, slow down, take some time and reflect on the real reason for the season, ‘God’s gift to us’. Be set free from exhaustion, and find rest in the person of Jesus Christ.
